I played the hell out of COD4 - like a year plus of online and was excited for MW2.  I bought it and didn't even put it in the PS3 for several weeks (thank Assassin's Creed2).  I am not very far in the campaign and maybe pushing level 40 in online play.  I was addicted to the online for 1 week and then it just dropped off.  I started playing Red Faction.

Soooo, anyone else not as stoked on MW2 like they thought they'd be?  I think it's too much like COD4 so once I got familiar with the maps my interest waned.

A little. I get burnt out of playing with noobtubers and other people that use cheap tactics (camping, etc.) but if I'm in a good room I can have a really enjoyable time.

Playing in league games (with Zero Commit) is where I have some of the most fun. I would recommend playing with friends since you tend to coordinate better, which leads you to win, which is generally fun.  Smiley

I agree Gadget.  Friends and Leauges are definatly where its at.    Although, it seems as though a few of our 0C mates have caught the noob tube bug.  Playng TD last night and got tubed about a dozen times over a couple matches.  Totally annoying!

Its pretty hard to resist the urge on a headquarters match but on TD?  cmon.  We ended up winning all our games so I guess it didnt matter much in the end.  I wish they wouldnt have put these in this game.  Its pretty much the only thing that gets me cussing at the screen.

Same here. Last week the other team was using the riot shield on headquarters. Good thing is, if they do it, I treat that as them giving me consent to do it too.

I am definitely on major burnout in that game.  With all the camping, sniping, knifing, glitches and every other cheap kill everyone uses, I've had enough for a while.  ME2 couldn't have come at a better time to give me a break from the douchebags.

It's amazing how I hear all my gaming friends talk how they wish they could quite Modern Warfare. My buddy Spydersvenom constantly complains about the drop and lag glitchers but I see him on several nights a week. He calls it his heroin.

I think I will limit myself to playing with groups of friends if I ever get around to playing it online. I have some friends about to start a casual league and I've been debating on whether or not to join up. That has got to be the only way to really enjoy the game these days.

I wouldn't say that I am still not digging MW2. But If I am not playing with friends, then I usually shut it down after about 30 min or so. But when I am playing with buds, I can go for hours. Just wait until new maps come out, that should spark some more interest, at least for a couple of weeks

I'm feeling the burn (out) as well.  Seeing that I put 5 or 6 days of multiplayer playing time in, I'd say I got my money's worth a LONG time ago.  Have to go back and finish the games I dropped with MW2 came out now...

That said, I still love MW2, especially playing with friends.  And will probably play a lot when new maps are released.

I'm thinking it's the victim of it's own success.  With over 9 million players, you're bound to run into at least 1 douchebag in every room.  And even if you submit a review on that player, their are 20 more to take his/her place.  I've had lots of fun in many of the rooms I've played in, but when you get in that room full of camping, noobtubing, cheap tactic using mofos, it totally ruins the fun.  If people would actually play the game with some cajones instead of being overly worried about their K/D ratios (get rid of the leaderboards), everyone would have more fun.

Here's what you guys are missing:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/-TSjFqgduS8&amp;hl" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/-TSjFqgduS8&amp;hl</a>

It's a mod abusing his powers (allegedly). I just saw this on Twitter so who knows what really happened.  Anyway, this first minute has no video. Enjoy.

Also, don't feel to bad for this Lupo guy.  He's admittedly guilty.

I don't understand what the pro guy did that was so bad.  Supposedly the guy making the video did something to violate ToS, we don't know what that is though.  Knowing how many hacks/cheats/jerks there are on XBL, I'm guessing he deserved to be banned.

Yea I don't get it either.  I think that the meat of the context is probably left out showing what a complete cheating tool the person who got banned is.

It's not hard to keep your gamertag right?  Just play fair, be a good sport, have fun and avoid the douche bags.  You have to go looking for trouble to get yourself banned.  It's not like a random person picking on you.

From what I could tell The Pro's tone was what was out of line.
